You don’t have to gamble
to feel the loss.

Problem Gambling destroys lives—but not just the lives of gamblers. Family and friends are also victims of problem gambling.

Often times, people suffering with a gambling problem don’t realize the impact it has on others and are incapable of stopping it themselves.

  • We understand that young people have a hard time understanding the consequences of their risky behavior. We help them understand the causal effect of gambling.
  • We understand adults have an underlying impulse disorder that manifests as a gambling problem. We can help them recognize the signs.
  • We understand that seniors often use gambling to fill a sense of loneliness in their lives. We can help them find other social outlets.

We provide free and confidential treatment services for family members of problem gamblers. These include full clinical assessment, development of a plan of action to deal with difficulties caused by problem gambling, and participation in 12-techniques for long term recovery.

Living with a problem gambler can be extremely difficult. The Delaware Council on Gambling Problems (DCGP) can help you find stability in a chaotic situation.
